The Superb Fairy-wren (Malurus cyaneus) is a tiny, long-tailed bird common in Tasmania, found in areas with dense shrubbery, parks, and gardens. Breeding males feature striking bright blue plumage, while females and non-breeding males are mostly brown with long blue tails. Known as socially monogamous but promiscuous, they often form small family groups.
